The force was definitely with him — behind the wheel. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace actor Jake Lloyd was arrested recently in Charleston, South Carolina, following a high-speed car chase, TMZ reports.
According to the site, police pursued the 26-year-old when he began to recklessly drive and pass cars on the double yellow line. The star refused to pull over, and eventually crashed into some trees.
Lloyd was arrested for driving without a license, reckless driving, failure to stop, and resisting arrest. He's still in custody.
The former child star is best known for playing Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace in 1999. His last acting credit was opposite Jim Caviezel and Mary McCormack in the 2005 drama Madison.
