Read on for the best tips from each, from choosing a fresh hair color to creating a luminous glow!

Joanna Vargas, Celebrity Facialist and Founder of Joanna Vargas Salon and Skincare Collection
Works With: Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Maggie Gyllenhaal

Vargas' Triple Crown Facial, boasting mild electric currents that help eliminate puffiness and tighten skin, are legendary in Hollywood (Watts, Weisz, and more rely on one before a big red carpet event). But it takes more than the perfect facial to get skin in shape. "The skin needs basic vitamins and nutrients to achieve a glow from within," Vargas tells Us Weekly. "Every time I see Naomi Watts walk a red carpet I am struck at how luminous she looks. This is absolutely the result of eating greens every meal—and always wearing sunscreen!"

Her second tip: Try a mask made out of marine collagen. "It gives the skin vital minerals to stay healthy and maintain elasticity," says Vargas. "A marine collagen eye mask can keep the skin plump looking, even under makeup and the bright lights of the red carpet." Or the flash of your iPhone!

Rita Hazan, Celebrity Colorist and Owner of the Rita Hazan Salon
Works With: Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce

Rule one: "Not everything goes!" Hazan tells Us. "You have to create a hair color look that is cool, but sophisticated and expensive looking." That means you really have to get to know your stylist and his or her work before you decide on a dramatic makeover. But once you feel comfortable, go for the risk!

The color pro also believes that the upcoming events in your life can determine the hair color you choose. "Which award event and what they will be wearing, all of this comes into account when creating a color for the red carpet," Hazan shares. So think about the season, if you're starting a new job, or if you're attending a wedding soon before you take the dramatic color plunge.

Vaughn, Men's Stylist and Founder of V76 by Vaughn
Works With: Ashton Kutcher, Tom Brady, Richard Gere

This one's for the boys! "You want the hair to be relaxed, yet well-groomed for the event," Vaughn tells Us, which is why you want to get a haircut a week before a big event. "Ultimately the cut should be lived-in and softer than having it done day-of."

As for facial hair, beyond a fresh trim, you want to make sure that a beard has moisture—because even beards deserve to have a healthy glow. "A good tip with facial hair is that after you apply product in the hair, put what’s left in the beard," the stylist tells Us. That extra dollop will keep your beard smooth. A drop of oil works into scruff will also do the trick.
