“My sexuality is not a phase,” she told the Times, “I am who I am.” The Brit first divulged her relationship with singer-songwriter St. Vincent during the Vogue interview, which was later scrutinized after writer Rob Haskell second-guessed her sexuality. "Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara,” Haskell wrote. “And they may be correct.”

In the Vogue interview, the 22-year-old Burberry model admitted it took her awhile to come to terms with being bisexual. “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days," she told the mag. "It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it."

Being in love has also helped Delevingne with life’s distractions, she continued to the Times.

“Being in love helps, you know?” Poppy Delevingne’s younger sister explained. “If you’re in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It’s like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you’re looking in another actor’s face.”

The aspiring actress, who will also appear in 2016’s Suicide Squad, revealed she’s always wanted to act because growing up, she wanted an escape. “I went through so much therapy as a kid, and I hated it, and because you get so used to saying the same thing over and over again, it just becomes a story,” she recalled. “I always wanted to act, from when I was 4 years old. When I was younger, I hated myself, so I preferred being other people.”
