Burt Reynolds: Charlie Sheen Is “Getting What He Deserves”

Burt Reynolds had some harsh words for Charlie Sheen during a recent interview. While speaking on British talk show Loose Women about the Two and a Half Men alum’s recent reveal of his HIV diagnosis, the Oscar-nominated actor had no sympathy.

“His father’s a very, very decent man and a dear friend of mine,” Reynolds, 79, said of Martin Sheen on Tuesday, Dec. 8. “I feel bad for him. But Charlie, I don’t feel bad for him. He’s getting what he deserves. If you’re going to misbehave like that, then they’re going to get you.”

Charlie Sheen appeared on the Today show in November.

When one of the show’s hosts pressed the matter, asking if Reynolds really had no sympathy for Charlie, 50, he replied, “For Charlie? No. He deserves it. He misbehaved badly, very badly. But you know, when you’re that age, it’s tough. All those things are coming at you, and it’s difficult.“

Charlie revealed on the Today show in November that he has been HIV-positive for four years, claiming that some who knew had been blackmailing him for millions of dollars.

Since then, he has been the subject of a lawsuit filed against him by his ex-fiancee Brett Rossi, in which she claims he forced her to get an abortion and was abusive.

“Charlie was so abusive to me and used intimidating tactics to make me fear for my life,” Rossi, 26, told Fox News earlier this month. “Anyone who knows Charlie knows exactly what I’m talking about. I’m terrified of him.”

Charlie filed his own court documents on Monday, denying her allegations.
