During their stop, the “Conceited” lyricist, 35, revealed who convinced them to join the cast. “I had never seen the show before, but once I saw it, I was like, ‘No, no, no,’” she says. But once executive producer Mona Scott-Young wined and dined the couple, they decided to give it a shot. “She wanted to get back to what the show was originally about,” says Remy. “Love and hip hop!”

Remy also shared that fans can expect to get a more intimate look into her life and marriage with Papoose, 37. The cameras follow the duo as they try to find a new normal during Remy’s first year home from a six-year prison sentence served for assault, weapons possession, and coercion.

And while the former Terror Squad group member is starring on the small screen in Love & Hip Hop, she hasn’t forgotten about her music: She’s set to release her new single, “Hands Down,” on Dec. 14, and is aiming to put out a new album next year.

While the star didn’t comment on her rumored beef with Nicki Minaj, she did say she doesn’t have a favorite female rapper right now. “I haven’t seen anybody in awhile that overall grasped me where I thought, ‘I like her music, I like her lyrics, I like her style,’” she told Us. “I haven’t gotten that package yet. I’m just a hard act to follow!”
