Kaley Cuoco brings home the bacon — and cooks it, too! The 29-year-old Big Bang Theory star is one of the highest-paid actresses on television, but at home, she’s more than happy to play the part of housewife. Interviewed for the February issue of Redbook, Cuoco said she likes cooking for and “serving” husband Ryan Sweeting, whom she married on New Year’s Eve 2013.

Asked whether she considers herself a feminist, the 8 Simple Rules alum replied, “Is it bad if I say no? It’s not really something I think about.” She continued: “Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around…I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality.”

She went on to say that she enjoys taking on a traditional role in her marriage to Sweeting. “I cook for Ryan five nights a week: It makes me feel like a housewife,” she told the mag. “I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I’m so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off.”

Indeed, both of Cuoco’s parents have influenced her immensely. Long before she signed a contract to make $1 million per episode of The Big Bang Theory, she relied on her family to take her to auditions.

“All I think about is what it means for my family…and knowing there is security for all of us,” she said of her massive paycheck. “My parents spent 16 years hauling my butt to L.A. for audition after audition. Every day they were helping me learn my lines, dropping me off, waiting for me, picking me up, giving me pep talks when I didn’t get the jobs, taking me to tennis and horseback riding lessons.”

Now that she’s successful, she just wants to pay them back. “I remember always hoping I could help take care of them because they took such good care of me,” she told Redbook. “Knowing I’ll be able to just brings tears to my eyes.”

Cuoco also opened up to the mag about getting plastic surgery, always a hot topic in Hollywood. “I had no boobs!” she said of why she got breast implants. “And it really was the best thing ever! I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn’t about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy.”

One body part she hasn’t had altered? Her nose. In the aftermath of her sinus surgery earlier this month, rumors swirled that she’d actually undergone a nose job — but she promptly put the chatter to rest.

“For those haters out there who are gonna hate hate hate no matter what, let me inform you that I have not been able to breathe through my nose like a normal human being in years,” she captioned a photo of herself on Instagram. “This surgery is changing my life. With that being said, if I DID get a nose job (which I didn’t), I would be shouting that from the rooftops as well.”
