Break out the Tamagotchi and bump a little Backstreet Boys — your 1990s nostalgia is about to be satisfied. A crowd-pleasing YouTube user by the name of indrancole3 created a Disney supercut for the ages and posted it to his account this week.
“I work as a professional trailer editor, this is simply an editing exercise I’ve done in my free time,” the creator explained in the video’s caption. “Featuring Disney’s 2D animation films from The Great Mouse Detective (1986) to Treasure Planet (2002). I hope you enjoy.”
Set to José González’s “Step Out” and Really Slow Motion’s “Suns and Stars” the montage features footage from The Rescuers Down Under, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Lilo & Stitch, Treasure Planet, and Tarzan.
Spanning more than just ’90s Disney favorites, “Disney: The 90’s Supercut” includes classic moments and quotes such as Simba surveying his kingdom, Mulan’s introduction to Mushu, and Lilo’s explanation that “Ohana means family.”
