Worth the weight loss and glow? Funny Or Die took on juice cleanses and the hunger, urges, and light-headed insanity that comes with them in a hilarious new video.
The sketch arrives from actress Ellen Wroe, who is known for roles in Final Destination 5, Masters of Sex, and NCIS. She recruited actresses Shannon Morrissey and Laura Thomas for the clip, which depicts three girlfriends going through the cleanse together.
“The Juice Cleanse” opens with two of the women in a bakery, lusting after doughnuts with wide eyes. “I want that thing inside my mouth… I would let that thing park inside me for hours,” one says. “I would stick my tongue all up in that bad boy,” the other adds.
As they sip their green juices out of mason jars, the women debate breaking their cleanses and indulging in the sweet treats. One breaks and reaches for a doughnut as she breaks into tears, causing her pal to immediately slap the pastry out of her hand.
The duo’s friend Abby, with whom they are completing the cleanse, enters the shot to Kelly Clarkson‘s “Stronger,” glowing from head to toe as she picks up a batch of doughnuts.
“Cheater!” the woman yells as she spots her cleansing friend. “What do you think you’re doing?” the other shouts. “You disgust me!… You’re a liar and a cheat, Abby. You didn’t think I wanted a doughnut? I wanted all the doughnuts! I was dreaming in doughnuts. I had outwardly semi-sexual fantasies about doughnut holes.”
As her friend rails against their doughnut-holding counterpart, the original woman loses it, getting teary-eyed as she breaks out a gun. A shot rings out as she demands the bakery’s stock and its dough — the literal dough, not the cash. Watch how the situation comes to a shocking end in the wild video above!
