Gellar, who starred alongside the great comic legend in the CBS show The Crazy Ones, shared a photo of the famous park bench in Boston that Williams sat on during the movie Good Will Hunting, along with a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded," she captioned the photograph. "You succeeded RW," she added.

Gellar was one of the first celebrities to react to the shocking news this time last year, that the beloved Mrs. Doubtfire actor had been found dead in his Californian home at the age of 63. An autopsy later confirmed his death had been a suicide.

"This is without question, the hardest few words I have ever tried to write," the mom-of-two told Us Weekly in a statement on Aug. 12, 2014. "My life is a better place because I knew Robin Williams. To my children [Charlotte, 5, and Rocky, 2] he was 'Uncle Robin,' to everyone he worked with, he was the best boss anyone had ever known, and to me he was not just an inspiration but he was the Father I had always dreamed of having," she continued.

"There are not enough adjectives to describe the light he was, to anyone that ever had the pleasure to meet him," Gellar continued of Williams, who left behind wife Susan Schneider and grown children Zelda, Zachary, and Cody.

"I will miss him everyday, but I know the memory of him will live on. And to his family, I thank them for letting us know him and seeing the joy they brought him," Gellar said at the time.
