Kate Middleton Debuts Shorter Haircut: See It in Action

Short hair, don’t care — royal edition!

Kate Middleton debuted freshly chopped tresses at the annual ICAP Charity Day in London on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

On the arm of her husband, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, 33, worked her new, shorter haircut, which fell just below her shoulders (aka still long enough for bouncy blowout perfection). This is the second time in three months that Middleton has switched up her hairstyle; she showed off new bangs in September.

Naturally, she had fabulous threads to match. The mom of Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 7 months, recycled one of her favorite suits by L.K. Bennett (she last wore the jacket and skirt in 2012). She finished her ensemble with earrings and a necklace by Mappin & Webb and suede Jimmy Choo pumps.

At the event, the Duke and Duchess experienced what it is like to be a trader for a morning, answering phone calls and closing deals (with a little guidance from brokers) in the name of charity. The royal couple also toured ICAP’s city office, where they met with representatives from some of the organizations they patronize, including SkillForce, SportsAid, and Place2Be.

While Prince William, 33, has taken part in this fundraising event in the past, this was Middleton’s first time participating. (She was due to attend in 2012 but was forced to cancel because of her severe morning sickness while pregnant with Prince George.)
