Corrections Officer John Bennett's got one heck of a hot bod! Orange Is the New Black's Matt McGorry, who returns to Netflix's prison smash on Season 3, is known those days for his acting gigs on OITNB and How to Get Away With Murder, but the 29-year-old hunk had quite an interesting career before hitting the small screen. He used to be a bodybuilder!

Prior to hitting it big on Netflix and ABC, the native New Yorker worked at a gym whose clientele included a handful of Victoria's Secret models and other top-level catwalkers. "When I did bodybuilding, I had five-and-a-half percent body fat, and was exhausted all the time," McGorry told Us Weekly at the Thursday, June 11, L.A. premiere of his new indie film How He Fell in Love. "I didn't really enjoy it too much."

Held to strict standards as a top-notch bodybuilder, McGorry — who competed in, and won, a bodybuilding competition in 2010 — appreciates the exercise schedule he's able to keep now that he's not in the gym full-time. "In the acting world, what I have to maintain is not much," he admitted.

In a new interview with Details, the actor explained that he is still getting used to his newfound less stringent fitness and diet routine. "I'm working toward looking at exercise as a feel-good thing, but I haven't quite gotten there yet," McGorry said. "I'm still finding that balance. I do love to eat. I'll have the sloppy joes with no bun and put some vegetables in there, and maybe two hours later when we wrap, I'll be in the craft-services truck throwing back three ice-cream sandwiches."

Though the actor may indulge, he still hits the gym four or five days a week, lifting weights twice a week, and interval training on a treadmill. Around the How to Get Away With Murder set, McGorry told Details his reputation precedes him. "It's funny, people know my history. And sometimes Viola Davis will reach for a cookie, and she'll say, 'Don't judge me.' And I'm like, 'Look, this is not my world anymore.' It's like if you were a priest," he said. "I'm excommunicated!"
