Jamie Dornan just got edged out of Fifty Shades of Grey by one unexpected star. The steamy Irish actor was bumped from his role as Christian Grey in an absurd parody trailer featuring Steve Buscemi.
YouTube channel Boo Ya Pictures debuted a hilarious trailer reinvention aptly titled “Fifty Shades of Buscemi” this week, replacing Dornan’s footage from the movie with shots of the always delightfully weird character actor, 57.
“This Valentine’s Day, 50 Shades of Grey has a new star. The one and only, Steve Buscemi,” Boo Ya captioned the uproarious clip.
The preview opens with original shots from the upcoming adaptation of E L James‘ best-selling erotic novel. Dakota Johnson appears as female lead Anastasia Steele, but instead of sharing passionate moments with Dornan, she meets Buscemi as her domineering businessman.
Scenes of Buscemi in Boardwalk Empire, as well as shots from Mr. Deeds and Fargo, are shown as the veteran star flawlessly integrates into the bodice-ripping story.
