Star power! Dance Moms star Kendall Vertes made the music video for her very first single, “Wear Em Out,” a family affair. Not only did she recruit her BFF and fellow Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler to choreograph the video, she also got her older sisters to appear.
“Some of my best friends are in or helped choreograph my video, even my two big sisters are in it,” the 12-year-old dancer-turned-singer told Us Weekly about the project, which will debut on the April 21 episode of Dance Moms (and will be available for purchase on iTunes the same day).
“Wear Em Out” is the first single from Vertes’ debut album, and is available for pre-order on iTunes starting April 7. “It’s such a dream come true,” the Abby Lee Dance Company member gushed to Us about her new endeavor. “I can’t wait for my fans to hear what I’ve been up to in the studio!”
Vertes’ Dance Moms costar (and Sia’s go-to mini-me) Ziegler, 12, told Us she loved supporting her friend by helping to choreograph the military-themed video. “It was amazing being the assistant choreographer at such a young age! Especially doing it for my best friend was such a wonderful experience,” she dished. “I learned so much and hope to do it again sometime!”
Dance Moms airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
