Queen of Versailles’ Jackie Siegel: Daughter Victoria Had No “Intentions of Killing Herself”

Victoria Siegel and her family were in Celebrity Wife Swap
Jackie and David Siegel said in a new interview that their daughter Victoria had "no intentions of killing herself."

Jackie and David Siegel want to make one thing clear as they mourn the loss of their 18-year-old daughter Victoria: The teen's death should not be declared a suicide. "I don't think [she] had any intentions of killing herself. I think she just wanted to soothe the pain she was going through," Queen of Versailles star Jackie, 49, said in an interview with local Florida news station WFTV shortly after the grieving parents buried their daughter on June 10.

The Queen of Versailles and Celebrity Wife Swap star and her husband were out of town June 6 at a wedding when their daughter was found unresponsive in the family's Windermere, Fla., home. Later, the family confirmed the teen, who had seven siblings, struggled with substance abuse and had just returned from rehab shortly before her death. Jackie also confirmed that her daughter was cyberbullied via text message, and that some messages were sent on the morning of her death.

An autopsy has been completed, and while it could take eight to 12 weeks to determine Victoria's cause of death, those closest to her say the girl they remember as an "earthly angel" wouldn't choose to end her life. "We were supposed to leave yesterday morning [on vacation]. We were going to be walking on the beach together in the Bahamas," Jackie told WFTV.

David, the founder of Westgate Resorts, couldn't help but ponder all of the milestones he will no longer get to enjoy now that his daughter is gone. "This should've been a happy time of celebration where I would have been walking her down the aisle and she would have started a new life as a new wife and a new mother," David said. "Instead we are having to bury her."

The Sigel family laid their daughter to rest on Wednesday, June 10. In an unusual show of grief, Jackie was seen snapping pictures with her phone as her daughter’s casket was loaded into a hearse.
