She asks, she gets! Fans have come to expect Taylor Swift to bring her A-list pals on stage during her massive 1989 World Tour, but this week someone got a last-minute invitation — John Legend. The R&B singer and Swift sang his hit ballad “All of Me” at L.A.’s Staples Center on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
“I heard @johnlegend and Chrissy were on the way to the show & called and asked if John felt like playing ‘All of Me,'” Swift, 25, tweeted after the show. She added, retweeting a fan: “Night 4 and @johnlegend showed up! Everyone sang along and it was perfect. Thank you #1989TourLA.”
Legend, 36, serenaded the crowd behind the piano as Swift accompanied him. Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen, made sure to snap a photo of their performance. “All of me loves all of T!” Teigen, 29, captioned a pic via Instagram. “@taylorswift @johnlegend.” (“All of Me” was written about the model and Lip Sync Battle co-host.)
The “Glory” crooner wasn’t the only entertainer to surprise the audience. Swift also rocked out with Cara Delevingne’s girlfriend, St. Vincent, and Beck.
“Getting to play ‘Dreams’ with @Beck and @st_vincent is something I’ll remember forever,” Swift tweeted Wednesday morning. “I can’t even express it.”
