Rob Kardashian is getting his formerly fit figure back, and it’s thanks in part to Kanye West! The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has already lost more than 15 pounds, as sources revealed exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly, and it turns out that his brother-in-law has played a large role in his transformation.
“It’s Kanye working his magic,” a source tells Us. “He’s been a great motivator for Rob. He told Rob how he got into shape after his accident and at a time when he was down in his life."
The rapper, 38, who is married to Kardashian’s sister Kim, was in a car accident in 2002 that left his jaw broken in three places.
According to the source, West is also responsible for repairing his wife’s relationship with her little brother, 28. As fans of the popular E! reality show know, the siblings have been on bad terms since Rob’s physical and emotional issues have put a strain on his bond with the Selfish author, 34. The social media maven was shown several times telling her family to quit babying the reclusive Arthur George sock designer, while sister Khloe did all she could to be supportive as he struggled.
He “told them to work it out — they are family,” the source said of West’s advice.
And so they did. In recent weeks, Kim, who is expecting her second child with West, and Rob have even been exercising together. “Just went on the hardest hike ever today with @robkardashian,” she tweeted in mid August.
The family is so happy with the repaired relationship and Rob’s turnaround that the self-declared 2020 presidential hopeful is “already chief of state [with] the Kardashians,” the source said.
