Well, that’s one way to put it! Pregnant Bristol Palin posted a photo of herself shooting a gun on Monday, June 29, following her shocking announcement from last week that she’s expecting her second child.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come,” Sarah Palin‘s daughter, 24, wrote on Instagram, citing the Biblical passage of Proverbs 31:25, which focuses on the virtuous woman. Palin further captioned her update with gun, sunshine, and mountain emojis to illustrate her activity of the day.

The accompanying snapshot features the conservative Dancing With the Stars alum in a clearing of the woods littered with shotgun shells. Bristol wears blue shorts, sneakers, and a hoodie that conceals her baby bump, and hoists up a gun close to her chest as she prepares to fire.

Palin also updated her blog on Tuesday, June 30, to opine about her pro-life stance. “In another outrageous move this week, the Supreme Court temporarily blocked a common-sense abortion regulation in Texas,” Palin wrote, citing an Associated Press report. “After the elected representatives voted to enact laws to protect the health of women and unborn children, 5 unelected judges are once again putting their policy preferences above those of the American people.”

Again, for some bizarre reason, Palin called out Girls creator Lena Dunham, whom she and her mother both previously lashed out against during the Josh Duggar molestation scandal.

“While celebrities like Lena Denham are celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision in the name of choice, what is happening here is placing the murder of babies on a pedestal,” Palin wrote, referring to the historic Supreme Court legalization of same-sex marriage last Friday. “How can these pro-abortion advocates claim to be pro-women when they won’t even support laws that are designed to ensure women get safe and quality health care? And they call me hypocritical!?!”

Palin announced via her blog last Thursday, June 25, that she’s pregnant again — but did not reveal the identity of the child’s father. “I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family,” she wrote at the time. The Alaskan native was scheduled to marry her fiancé, Dakota Meyer, over Memorial Day Weekend, but the two called off their nuptials just one week before the set date.

In a follow-up blog post on Sunday, Bristol shared that the pregnancy was not an accident. “I made a mistake, but it’s not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume,” she told her readers. “This pregnancy was actually planned. Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on.”

Bristol is already mom to her 6-year-old son, Tripp, whom she shares with ex-fiance Levi Johnston. “I’m not 17 anymore, I am 24. I’ve been employed at the same doctor’s office for over six years now; I own a home; I have a well-rounded, beautiful son,” she wrote on Sunday.

Despite their rocky split, her ex-fiance Johnston also had words of encouragement. “She’s a great mom,” he told TMZ this week.
