Ex-cited for her! Jennifer Aniston has been making headlines ever since Us Weekly broke the news that she tied the knot with her longtime fiancé, Justin Theroux, in a private Aug. 5 ceremony. Amidst the attention, Aniston has gotten congratulations from her friends and family, and on Wednesday, Aug. 19, she even ran into her ex Vince Vaughn at a dinner prior to the afterparty for her upcoming film, She’s Funny That Way.

“They were both jovial and seemed happy to see each other, both smiling,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly of the two, who chatted at the Tower Bar at Sunset Tower in Los Angeles. “It didn’t seem weird at all, it just looked like two old friends who hadn’t seen each other for a while catching up real quick.”

Aniston, 46, dated Vaughn, 45, for about a year in 2006 after meeting on the set of the film The Break-Up, following her split from first husband, Brad Pitt.

“I call Vince my defibrillator,” Aniston told Vogue shortly after she split with Vaughn. “He literally brought me back to life. My first gasp of air was a big laugh! It was great. I love him. He’s a bull in a china shop. He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together. And I needed that. And it sort of ran its course.”

The True Detective star, who married his wife, Kyla Weber, in January 2010, has always been similarly positive about his famous ex. Earlier this year he talked to Playboy magazine about their relationship.

“You know, she’s great,” he said of Aniston. “For me personally — and I think most well-known actors who are together feel this way — I never enjoyed the paparazzi side of it. You like someone and you’re spending time with them; that’s separate and that was all fine. But I really spent most of that time finding ways not to be drawn into the attention.”
