Dream team! Demi Lovato and James Corden hopped in a car together on the Late Late Show on Tuesday, Aug. 4, working together to form their own singing telegram business.
Lovato, 22, took the passenger seat that Corden, 36, usually reserves for his “Carpool Karaoke” guests, introducing a new bit with the British comedian. The two donned gold blazers, yellow bandanas, and black top hats for their new gig, sitting amongst a bouquet of balloons as they took a drive.
The “Cool for the Summer” singer and her host made their first stop at the Drybar salon, delivering a singing telegram to a stylist who was recently promoted. After ample blow-job jokes, they put on a rousing performance of a personalized country song.
They then continued their deliveries, playing a twist on “F–k, Marry, Kill” called “Cruise, Marry, Shag” as they traveled. Once the two agreed that they would most like to go on a cruise with Tom Cruise and marry Beyonce and shag Mark Ruffalo, they made their second stop at an office, where a businessman was celebrating his birthday.
Lovato and Corden ended the trip on a high note, paying a visit to a dentist who was raising money for his local YMCA. The dentist had already raised $6,000 in the hopes of earning $10,000. He incentivized his donors by pledging that if he reached $10,000, he would shave his head.
The two stars surprised the dentist with their singing telegram before telling him that they would meet his donation goal. With the new $10,000 total, the dentist stuck to his word, allowing Lovato to grab a razor and shave his head.
