Frank Sinatra Jr. Dead at Age 72 After Cardiac Arrest

Frank Sinatra Jr. died on Wednesday, March 16, his family confirmed to the Associated Press. The musician, who carried on his legendary father’s musical legacy, died following a heart attack. The singer was 72.

According to AP, Sinatra Jr. was in Daytona Beach, Florida, and was expected to perform at a show Wednesday evening, but passed away unexpectedly.

Sinatra Jr. made headlines when he was 19 after he was kidnapped and held for ransom for two days in Lake Tahoe.

Prior to his father’s death in 1998, Sinatra Jr. worked for his dad as his musical director and conductor. Sinatra Jr. also appeared on The Dean Martin Show and in the 1966 drama A Man Called Adam, as well as the TV crime drama Adam-12.

He’s survived by his ex-wife, Cynthia McMurry, and son Michael from a previous relationship.
