Beauties in black! Ben McKenzie and his pregnant girlfriend, Morena Baccarin, hit the red carpet as a couple on Wednesday, Nov. 11, for the first time since announcing their baby news. The Gotham costars attended the Sierra Club’s “Act in Paris, a Night of Comedy and Climate Action” event at The Heath at The McKittrick Hotel in NYC.
The dad-to-be, 37, wrapped his arm around Baccarin’s waist during the star-studded event. He rocked tight pants and a leather jacket, while the Homeland alum, 36, coordinated in black, wore a hat, and showed off her growing baby bump in a fitted long-sleeve dress.
Us Weekly confirmed last month that the secretive pair are expecting their first child together. The actors play Detective James Gordon and Dr. Leslie Thompkins, respectively, on Fox’s Gotham, which is filmed in Manhattan.
As previously reported, McKenzie and Baccarin plan to marry. The news was revealed in legal documents pertaining to Baccarin’s divorce from her estranged husband, Austin Chick. (The exes share 2-year-old son Julius.) Chick, 44, filed for divorce after nearly four years of marriage this past June. The film director, who allegedly claimed that the two were still married when she began to romance McKenzie, will share joint custody with the actress.
Baccarin’s messy split doesn’t end there, however. On Tuesday, it was reported that Chick has “changed his mind” about co-parenting in NYC (He lives in Los Angeles). Legal documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight state that it’s because he learned that Baccarin “had a new boyfriend.”
