Did she or didn’t she? On the Sunday, April 10, episode of I Am Cait, Kris Jenner denies knowing that Caitlyn Jenner was transgender “early on” in their relationship.
In a preview clip for the upcoming episode, Kris, 60, and Caitlyn, 66, are joined by several of Caitlyn’s pals during a dinner. The conversation quickly turns to the former couple’s relationship, and whether the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch was aware of Caitlyn’s hormone treatments back in the ‘80s (the pair tied the knot in April 1991).
“Now that she has done the presto change-o, does it in any way make you question yourself and who you were at that time?” one of Caitlyn’s friends asks Kris.
“No,” the reality star answers after a beat.
“Did she tell you early on?” the pal presses.
“No,” Kris replies, to which Caitlyn interjects, “Oh, I did too.”
“She keeps saying she told me but she didn’t,” Kris says. “What happened was a conversation in a driveway. He says to me, ‘Do you ever wanna have more kids?’ And I said, ‘Ugh, god no.’ So he says, ‘Ugh, neither do I,’ and I say, ‘Oh, that’s great,’ and [he said,] ‘I couldn’t have any more kids if I wanted to.”
Kris adds that while Caitlyn had told her about “messing around” with some kinds of drugs during the ’80s, there was never any mention of estrogen or the like — a point that Caitlyn refutes.
“I said I had a condition that I’ve been dealing with forever,” she says, defending herself. “I said that I was on hormones and that was the reason why it might be tough to get pregnant.”
Nevertheless, the exes welcomed Kendall shortly afterward, and Kylie two years later.
“My version of what happened in the beginning was obviously very different than her version,” Caitlyn concludes.
