You could walk a mile in Duchess Kate’s shoes—seriously!
Kate Middleton never leaves the house (ahem, palace) for an official engagement without her beloved high heels—even when there’s rain. Even when she’s eight months pregnant! As it turns out, there’s a very special reason she can stand all day in her L.K. Bennett “Sledge” pumps.
Say hello to the Duchess’ secret weapon: Alice Bow insoles. According to a source, “Kate recently bought several pairs of Alice Bow insoles at the Selfridges department store in London. She picked up versions of the insole for both flat shoes and heels in an assortment of colors.” The source added, “The Duchess is a fan of the brand.”
So what makes these insoles so especially comfy? Well, according to the London-based brand, each insole, which is specifically designed to cushion the ball of the foot, boasts high-quality padding wrapped in premium Italian leather. There are stickies on the back of each insole to hold it in place, if needed; plus, they’re shaped to be worn with open-toed shoes, too.
And, as the source noted, the insoles come in a variety of fun colors! Both the flat and high heel insoles are available in hot pink, silver, bronze, gold, and aqua, making them just a bit snazzier than your average shoe liner. Each pair sells for 13 pounds (or about $20).
