Mattel is featuring a boy in its Barbie ads for the very first time for the company’s collaboration with Moschino, and he’s “so fierce!”
In the commercial posted to the brand’s YouTube page on Oct. 30, a mohawked blond boy plays with the Moschino doll with two other girls. “Moschino Barbie — so fierce!” the little guy enthusiastically tells the camera before assisting his doll with her chic accessories and handling her — obviously very important! — incoming calls.
“She’s the girl who has it all. Nothing can stop her,” the ad’s lyrics go in between the boy’s appearances. “Please hold while she takes this call.”
“It’s for you, Moschino Barbie,” the Jeremy Scott mini-me says to the camera before winking and stealing our hearts forever.
The Internet, of course, freaked out over the ad, tweeting things such as, “Moschino Barbie boy is my hero” and “YOU GO LIL BARBIE LOVING BOY.”
In case you’re wondering, Moschino Barbie ain’t cheap — she retailed for $150 and already sold out!
