Nailed it! Demi Lovato covered Adele’s new hit single “Hello” at Seattle’s Fall Ball on Saturday, Nov. 14, and delivered an emotional performance.

The singer, 25, wowed the crowd as she gave her own heartfelt rendition of the current chart-topping song, hitting every note as she seemed close to tears.

The song is Adele’s first new music in three years and the 10-time Grammy winner, 27, delivered her own searing performance of the song when she performed it live at the BBC One special on Thursday, Nov. 5.

It’s not the first time Lovato has dug deep into her emotions. The former Disney star — who released her new hit album, Confident, last month — recently opened up about her relationship with her estranged father, Patrick Lovato, who passed away in 2013. One of the songs from that album, “Father,” detailed her complicated relationship with him.

“I was very conflicted when he passed because he was abusive,” the “Cool for the Summer” singer explained in a recent behind-the-scenes video. “He was mean. He wasn’t capable of raising a family, and it was because of his mental illness. To know that it wasn’t fully his fault really was saddening to me, and I wanted to write about it. I wanted to process it.”

Lovato has been open in the past about her own struggles with bipolar disorder, substance abuse, self-harm, and eating disorders. In 2011, she went to rehab to seek help for these various issues.
