Breathing a big sigh of relief. Vicki Gunvalson confirmed that her daughter, Briana Culberson, is cancer-free after surgery.
“Biopsy results are back,” the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 53, tweeted on Tuesday, Nov. 17. “NO CANCER detected for Briana’s most recent biopsy! Thank you Jesus. #prayersanswered.”
Last week, Gunvalson shared an update with her social media followers about traveling from California to Oklahoma to be with her daughter. Culverson, 25, underwent surgery to have her enlarged lymph nodes removed.
“Briana’s surgery went well,” Gunvalson wrote on Nov. 13, two days after the surgery. “She is recovering at home with her husband, two babies and me. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!”
The hit Bravo show has documented Culberson’s battle against thyroid cancer. In 2012, she underwent surgery on her thyroid.
“She has been through a lot herself in the past few years, and always has a smile on her face and always tells me like it is,” Gunvalson previously wrote on her blog. “There is no grey area with her. She inspires me to look at the big picture of life, which is family and close friends, and to not let the things that don’t really matter in the big picture weigh heavy on me.”
Culberson and her family are planning to move to Orange County to be closer to Gunvalson.
“We are happy and thankful,” Brooks Ayers’ ex tweeted on Nov. 17.
Gunvalson’s daughter’s battle with cancer also has come in the midst of the Brooks Ayers cancer controversy.
