Can’t. Look. Away. A video of makeup artist Ashley Rosales applying liquid metal lip gloss has nearly 2 million views (and counting!) because of her super-smooth approach.
Rosales, a Cincinnati native, tries on four separate shades of metallic lacquer in the video, which The Woman’s World posted to Facebook on May 20. The colors are part of her own Ashley’s Lip Stax collaboration with vegan and cruelty-free company Who Is She Cosmetics, which includes 14 different colors and retails for $45 a set.
In the clip, the makeup artist, who also has over 44,000 followers on Instagram (her handle is @mua_ashley_), dips an Artis lip brush into each color before smoothing the gloss over her lips.
“For a flawless application, I really just take my time and make sure to apply an even coat,” Rosales tells Us Weekly exclusively. “I’m overwhelmingly excited about the responses to my videos. I never expected them to become as big as they have!”
Commenters on Facebook are obsessed with the slow and steady process. “This is satisfaction lol. I’d do this just to look at [it], not necessarily to go out and about with,” one user wrote. Another explained, “The colors are stunning and her lips are like perfect.”
But not all responses have been positive. “Until you get a piece of hair caught on your lip,” a commenter noted. “Am I the only one who didn’t like any of these?” asked another.
