Three years, and still no ring? Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout has been with boyfriend Taylor McKinney since 2012, but he’s yet to get down on one knee. The reality personality reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly that, like fans of the hit MTV docuseries, she’s also wondered what the holdup is.
“It’s so to the point where I’m like, ‘Really, what is the deal?’” the 24-year-old Bulletproof author, who welcomed daughter Jayde with McKinney in May, tells Us.
Teen Mom OG fans have been eagerly awaiting for the happy news since the season 5 finale in May showed McKinney, 26, ring shopping.
“Marriage is something I want in my life,” Bookout explains to Us. “In my opinion — and I think Taylor would agree — we pretty much are already married. So it’s kind of like, ‘All right, what are we waiting on?’ I’m confused.”
But ring or no, the MTV star says she and her live-in partner “make a really good team.” In addition to Jayde, the couple are also raising Bookout’s son, Bentley, 7, whose dad is her ex-fiancé, Ryan Edwards. “I don’t think we would be able to do everything we have going on if we didn’t have each other,” she notes.
The social media consultant hasn’t been shy about sharing her love for McKinney online. “I got lost in you and it felt exactly like being found,” she captioned a sweet pic of the pair on Instagram in October.
