This girl has plans! Zooey Deschanel gushed about her newborn daughter for the first time via Twitter on Friday, Sept. 4. And instead of wanting her tyke to follow in her acting footsteps, she hopes the little one will jump into the political world — like, now.
“My infant daughter is going to run for president,” Deschanel, 35, wrote. She mused: “She remains silent [on] all of the key issues but she’s much cuter than Donald Trump.” (The former Celebrity Apprentice host is currently the GOP presidential front-runner.)
Us Weekly confirmed in August that the New Girl actress and her producer husband, Jacob Pechenik, welcomed their first child together. Her Fox costar Max Greenfield and his wife, Tess Sanchez, welcomed a baby boy named Ozzie James that same month.

Deschanel and Pechenik secretly tied the knot in Texas on June 21. Back in March, she joked about pregnancy cravings during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
'You can't eat so many things when you're pregnant! If I was vegan, I'd just be like…ohhh. You can't have sushi. You can't have cheese that tastes good,” she said at the time. “You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It's a total joke!”
She added: “You can't have alcohol. I miss that, I like wine.”
