Kelly Clarkson Reveals New Video for “Piece by Piece,” Featuring Adorable Daughter River

Proud mama. Kelly Clarkson premiered her new music video for her single “Piece by Piece” on Thursday, Nov. 19, and it features her adorable 17-month-old daughter, River.

The single — the third from her seventh studio album of the same name — reflects on the emotional damage caused by the pop star’s relationship with her father — and how her husband, Brandon Blackstock, showed her how a loving husband should be.

“All I remember is your back,” the “Stronger” singer, 33, sings in the black-and-white clip, which starts with a montage of numerous women and little girls looking sad. “Walking toward the airport, leaving us all in your past.”

As the video progresses, the women and girls begin to smile, as Clarkson’s lyrics reflect on her loving husband of two years.

“But piece by piece, he collected me up off the ground, where you abandoned things / Piece by piece, he filled the holes / He never runs away, he takes care of me, he loves me,” she sings.

At the end of the clip, Clarkson sweetly hugs her own little girl.

“I will never leave her, like you left me,” she promises.

The American Idol alum, who is pregnant with her and Blackstock’s second child — a boy — has admitted she’s been having a rough time with her pregnancy this time around.

“I’m familiar with all-day sickness,” the “Since U Been Gone” singer joked to Gayle King on CBS This Morning on Wednesday, Nov. 18. “I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated. It’s really bad.”

She also opened up about Blackstock, saying he’s nothing like her own father.

“He wins for being around,” Clarkson said.
