The actress, who played Lorelai Gilmore on the show’s original seven-season run until its finale in May 2007, told the talk show host that she feels lucky to portray the quirky Dragonfly Inn owner again.

“It’s been the most incredible experience — I cry trying to talk about it,” Graham, 49, said. “To get to do it again, who would have imagined? Netflix had to be invented, you guys had to want it back.”

Ellen DeGeneres asked if the reboot had a title yet, as the new name had yet to be announced. Much to the crowd’s delight, Graham — who pointed out that the new run is almost done filming — was ready to make the big reveal.

“I can tell you the title for the first time,” the Parenthood alum replied. “It’s four 90-minute episodes, and they’re winter, spring, summer and fall, so the show is called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.”

This is not the first time that big Gilmore news has been divulged on DeGeneres’ show. After previously saying that she would not reprise her role as Sookie St. James, Melissa McCarthy told the host on April 7 that she had just finalized a deal to return as the kind-hearted chef.

The reboot premieres later in 2016, although an exact launch date has not yet been announced.
