Girl, bye — for good?
While NeNe Leakes would be happy to hold a Real Housewives of Atlanta peach “until the wheels fall off,” the queen bee has conditions. During an interview at Us Weekly‘s NYC offices, she told Us that she’s willing to come back for the eighth season, but she can’t do the show with people who are just “so damn negative.”
“[There are] people who come on the show…willing to do anything,” NeNe said. “I want to work with people who have some respect and some limitations!”
Looking back, NeNe hated that past seasons focused on confrontations like the brawl between Housewife Kenya Moore and “friend” Porsha Williams. The Broadway actress, 47, doesn’t think everybody needs to go — “There’s some fun girls in this group,” NeNe admitted. “Can we pull up sometimes and laugh?” — but the RHOA cast is due for a shakeup. As for the current lineup, Leakes is “over it.”
“I would be happy to come back if we could find the right girls,” NeNe mused. “If the show stays this way, I can’t see myself doing it…who wants to work in a stressful environment?”
And speaking of stress — we asked NeNe if she’d rather choose a role in Kandi Burruss’ play, A Mother’s Love, or Kenya’s sitcom, Life Twirls On.
“I would love to say neither,” NeNe sighed. “But… A Mother’s Love. I know how much she hates me, so I would definitely outshine the s–t out of her in her own play!”
