Calling them out! Zendaya slammed Modeliste Magazine on Tuesday, Oct. 20, for giving her recent photo shoot one too many touch-ups. The former Disney star voiced her concerns by posting side-by-side comparison photos via Instagram.
"Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated," Zendaya captioned the snapshots. "These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have."
She added: "Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it."
In the pics, it is clear that Zendaya's already tiny frame was altered. The Photoshopped version shrunk her waist and thighs.
The K.C. Undercover actress was so vocal about her disappointment that the magazine eventually removed the pics from its website. "Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images," Zendaya wrote via Instagram, "and fixing this retouch issue."
