Her Little Monsters will be so pleased! Lady Gaga announced that she’ll be releasing a new album this year, but those are all the details fans are going to get — for now.

“I am putting out an album this year. I won’t tell you when, but it is coming out this year,” she told reporters on the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 10. “Will it reflect my outer appearance … that’s a difficult thing to say as I don’t know that you yet know what I will look like for my next album. I am still creating all those things. It is something that is a gradual change that is always with me.”

This will be Gaga’s first album since her 2014 collaboration with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek. After the critical and commercial disappointment of 2013’s Applause, Gaga briefly stepped out of the spotlight, during which she released classy and classic Cheek to Cheek, got engaged to longtime boyfriend Taylor Kinney and ventured into acting.

The “Edge of Glory” singer, 29, added that her (Golden Globe-winning!) role on American Horror Story: Hotel has helped inspire how she carries herself in real life as well.

“What was nice about playing the Countess [was] it reminded me in my own life and music I am at times playing a character,” she added. “Living inside of her is liberating because she doesn’t give a sh-t about anything. She’s lived too long, knows too much, to be bothered by a thing. I am a little bit different than that, but I will say that I think that confidence will stay with me.”

On Sunday, the blonde-maned singer took home a win for her role in the hit FX show, for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or TV Motion Picture, beating out tough competitors in her category, including Felicity Huffman (American Crime), Kirsten Dunst (Fargo), Queen Latifah (Bessie) and Sarah Hay (Flesh and Bone).

“I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now,” the singer-turned actress said upon taking the stage. “This is one of the greatest moments of my life.”
