Just like Us, the Kardashians were shocked about Rob and Blac Chyna’s engagement in April. Cameras captured the candid moment when the clan learned about the couple’s big news in a new sneak peek for the Sunday, June 19, episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
In the clip, Kim Kardashian opens up during a confessional, explaining, “We wake up to all of these pictures of my brother getting engaged. How does our own brother not tell us?”
The camera then cuts to Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian scrolling through their phones to read about their younger brother’s news. “He proposed in front of her whole family?!” Khloé, 31, asks, completely stunned.
As previously reported, Rob, 29, popped the question in early April while his family was on a lavish ski trip in Vail, Colorado. Blac Chyna, 28, confirmed the engagement with an Instagram photo of her 7-carat ring, writing, “I’m so blessed and honored to have a good man in my life. I love you @robkardashian !”
The Kardashian-Jenner clan stayed noticeably silent on social media at the time. In the weeks since, they’ve begun to support the Arthur George sock designer’s happiness.
In May, the couple, who will star in their own E! docuseries later this year, announced that they’re expecting their first child together. Shortly after the announcement, an insider told Us that Khloé reached out to Rob and “worked things out.” The siblings were initially at odds over his relationship with the model, who is also mom to son King Cairo, 3, with Tyga, Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend. “She’s happy for the baby,” the insider added.
Kim, 35, and Kylie, 18, are also now on board with the engagement. In April, the Selfish author accompanied the happy couple to a doctor’s appointment just days after her makeup maven sister spent a day with her “best friend” Chyna.
