Did The Rock’s Taylor Swift or Jimmy Fallon’s Madonna Win Spike’s Lip Sync Battle Premiere? Watch!

Dwayne Johnson and Jimmy Fallon
Dwayne Johnson and Jimmy Fallon performed in the premiere of Spike's Lip Sync Battle. Who won?

Haters gonna hate! The epic, star-studded premiere of Spike's Lip Sync Battle featured two epic performances from some of the most likable celebrities around: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jimmy Fallon, who pretended to be Taylor Swift and Madonna, respectively, as they competed during the first episode of the new show.

Johnson, clad in a T-shirt and black pants, busted out Swift's catchy "Shake it Off" for his first tune, while Fallon, wearing a V-neck sweater over a button-down, channeled his inner gospel singer for "Like a Prayer," complete with a choir backing him up.

The best TV show to ever come from a late-night talk show sketch originated as a popular segment on Fallon's Tonight Show. The spinoff is hosted by LL Cool J and color commentator Chrissy Teigen, and produced by Fallon and his funnymen buddies John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant.

It's a simple premise: Celebs come and fake-sing their hearts out in the hopes of winning both bragging rights and the Lip Sync Battle belt. Each half-hour episode consists of a two-round competition, with Furious 7 star The Rock and Fallon facing off in the premiere, and Oscar winners Common and John Legend dueling in episode no. 2, airing immediately after the 10 p.m. premiere on Spike.
