Lamar Odom is on the mend. Khloé Kardashian gave fans an update on Odom’s health while sitting down to chat on Live With Kelly & Michael Friday, January 15.
The Kocktails With Khloé host, 31, explained that the athlete is doing “great” since leaving the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week.
“It’s such a relief,” she told the cohosts. “It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day — he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”
The reality star added that when she had the former NBA star, 36, transferred to a private facility near her Calabasas, California, home, he was able to stand up on his own two feet.
“We were able to leave the hospital — he was able to walk out of the hospital,” she said. “And it was such a great thing. You get strolled on in there, he didn’t really even know where he was, and he [was] able to walk out on his own. So I’m happy for him and how he’s trying, and he’s really making great strides. And that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”
And part of moving forward, Kardashian explained, has been chopping off her long locks.
“I cut all my hair off because I was in the hospital and I just felt like I needed, like, once I got out of there for a minute, I was like, I need to get rid of this negativity.”
But not everything has been smooth sailing, despite Odom’s progress. Earlier in the week, Kardashian sat down with Howard Stern to open up about the athlete’s “disgusting” cheating habits during their four-year marriage.
”Lamar was so great at making me feel like I was the only one and I was this princess, so I never speculated about his cheating," she told Stern on Wednesday, January 13. "He was so good. Nothing was on his cellphones."
