Miami heat! Selena Gomez soaked up the sun on the beach in Miami on Friday, Sept. 18, in a sizzling black one-piece swimsuit.
The “Same Old Love” singer, 23, rocked the skimpy garment, only $48 at American Apparel, all the better to reveal a new tattoo of the om symbol high up on her thigh.
Gomez’s swimwear comes on the heels of the high-cut one-piece bathing suit’s apparent rise once again, as it’s been spotted on multiple celebs, including Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and Beyonce. These pieces bring to mind the same Baywatch-worthy hip bone-baring suits popular in the 1990s.
Gomez, who’s currently promoting her new album, Revival, which drops in October, is clearly flaunting her hot bod on the beach in the statement swimwear, which makes sense, given her recent self-esteem boost. “I feel very empowered and confident in where I am,” she said on On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Sept. 11. “I think it took me a long while to get there because the past year was so interesting because I’ve never been body-shamed before. I dealt with a whole other set of issues that were really interesting. I did gain weight, but I don’t care.”
