6 Shocking Things We’ve Learned About Making A Murderer’s Steven Avery Since Documentary: Watch

Is Steven Avery guilty or not guilty of killing Teresa Halbach? That is the question many of us have been asking ourselves about Netflix’s runaway hit Making a Murderer.

Since its debut in December, many theories and new evidence have emerged, and Us Weekly has compiled all the key information in a new video.

Prosecutor Ken Kratz recently revealed to Good Morning America that while Avery was in jail for a rape he was later cleared of, he allegedly told an inmate of his plan to build a “torture chamber” to “rape, torture and kill young women.” Kratz also said that on the day of Halbach’s disappearance, Avery allegedly called her several times using the *67 feature to block his number and placed several calls to her office requesting that she photograph his van.

In addition to evidence mounting against Avery, including leg irons and handcuffs found at his home, his one-time biggest supporter is now turning her back on him. Avery’s ex-fiancée Jodi Stachowski revealed during an interview on HLN’s Nancy Grace that she believes Avery killed Halbach because “he threatened to kill me and my family and a friend of mine.”
