Playing by the rules. Teresa Giudice, who was released from prison last week after serving 11 months behind bars, is following all orders from her parole officer, a source confirms to Us Weekly exclusively.

The insider tells Us that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 43, has a parole officer who approves each instance she’s permitted to leave her mansion in Montville Township, New Jersey. The home-confinement guidelines allow the Skinny Italian cookbook author to leave the premises for the following reasons: work obligations, doctor’s appointments, legal meetings and certain family functions.

According to the source, Giudice — who was snapped grocery shopping on Tuesday, December 29 — had already been preapproved for the outing. The source says that Bravo cameras were rolling during the trip, which confirms what Us Weekly exclusively revealed last week: Tre is documenting her assimilation back into society after being locked up at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut.

As a part of the federal location-monitoring program, the mom of four is required to wear an ankle bracelet device that transmits her location at all times directly to her parole officer.

The source tells Us that Giudice is “very dedicated” to following all the rules and will “not be coloring outside the lines” in any form.

Luckily, the constraints will be enforced only for a limited time. The program is in effect until February 5, 2016, and Giudice is grateful either way.

Teresa received a big group hug from her husband, Joe Giudice, and her girls, Gia, Milania, Gabriella and Audriana on December 23.

“Teresa doesn’t have cabin fever at all, because she has had a steady stream of visitors stopping by offering their well-wishes,” the source tells Us. “It’s been keeping her busy and very happy. Teresa knows it will be different in two weeks, when the kids are back in school and less people are stopping by, but for now she’s been kept very busy inside her house.”

As previously reported by Us Weekly, Giudice spent Christmas Eve with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, at their home. On the agenda during the dinner was making amends with her sister-in-law after their contentious relationship was documented on previous seasons of RHONJ.

“Teresa is still so, so happy every day,” the insider adds to Us. “And all her close family and friends have said they’ve never seen her looking so happy and thankful.”
