Taylor Swift may soon be joining Kanye West's "Clique." The "Style" singer, 25, touched on her relationship with her former foe in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, April 29.
Swift spoke about the possibility of recording with West, 37, and acknowledged Kim Kardashian's husband's habit of hyping projects with Swift.
"He has said that," the country-turned-pop star said of West's promise that he and Swift will release music together. "We've never been in a studio together, but he's got a lot of amazing ideas."
"He's one of those people that's just like idea, idea, idea. Like, 'What do you think of this? What do you think of that?'" she continued of the Grammy winner, with whom she once had an infamously awkward moment on the MTV Video Music Awards stage. "He's very creative and like, I think we've talked about it but we've also talked about so many other things. I think I completely respect his vision as a producer. So, that's all I know now. I have no idea what the next album's gonna be, though."
Swift saw huge success with the 2014 release of her album 1989, officially breaking into the pop world with hits like "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space." The homage to her birth year hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following a standard set by her previous albums Red, Speak Now, and Fearless.
"I'm not making the next record yet," added the performer, who is kicking off her 1989 World Tour next week. "That's going to take a lot of thinking about what that should be, because with 1989, I love this album so much that I think it would be doing a real disservice to this album to try and copy it the next time around. I think it’s going to have to be something very, very different, creatively."
