Chloe Grace Moretz Stands By Her Remarks About Kim Kardashian, Agrees With Pink: ‘My Sentiments Exactly’

She is not backing down. Actress Chloë Grace Moretz stood by her remarks about Kim Kardashian‘s nude selfie after a Twitter standoff with the reality star this week, and tossed in support for Pink‘s viral message on Wednesday, March 9.

The Carrie actress, 19, made her stance clear by first retweeting numerous messages related to the feud on Tuesday. Moretz then tweeted directly at the “Try” songstress, 36, praising her for articulating her opinion in the ongoing nudity debate.

The feud between Kardashian and Moretz — with many other stars mixed in — started when the teen tweeted at Kardashian: “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.” The mom of two, 35, paid no mind and sniped back: “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo.”

Shortly after Kardashian’s retort, Moretz’s Kick-Ass 2 costar John Leguizamo tweeted directly at the teen. “@ChloeGMoretz you are real talent and women respect you. Don’t sweat #KimKardashian shade,” he wrote, to which Moretz replied with a heart emoji.

The actress also retweeted a post by the website The Scene that read: “Actually, a lot of people know who @ChloeGMoretz is.”

Other celebrities to chime in on Kardashian’s nude selfie (and the ensuing feud) included Miley Cyrus, Bella Thorne, Ariel Winter, Chrissy Teigen, Demi Lovato and Kim’s sisters Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian. Finally, Kim herself took to her blog on Tuesday night to address the fiasco.

“I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives. I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime—and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?” the reality star wrote. “I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”
