Israel has a new playmate! Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, have welcomed their first child together, a boy, TLC confirmed to Us Weekly.
Seewald's sister, Jessica, spilled the happy news on Instagram with a blue Post-it.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum, 22, and Seewald, 20, announced this past April that they were expecting. Michelle and Jim Bob's daughter documented her growing baby bump on social media throughout the pregnancy and often snacked on ice cream and drank smoothies to satisfy her cravings.
Duggar and Seewald kept the gender of their little one a secret during the pregnancy, but prepared for parenthood by spending time with their nephew Israel, niece Meredith, and younger siblings. (Older sister Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, welcomed their baby boy on April 6. Eldest brother Josh, who is seeking treatment following his cheating and molestation scandals, welcomed daughter Meredith with his wife, Anna, in July.)
Back in August, Seewald, the eldest of seven children, joked to Us that the couple are hoping to have 20 children. "Well, I'm not giving birth to that many," Duggar replied, "but we want to adopt." In June, she gushed over Seewald in a sweet Instagram post.
"You're already such a sweet daddy, caring for your preborn baby! You're my #1 cheerleader when it comes to making good food choices, but you also understand when the baby 'needs' a late-night bowl of cookies & cream ice cream!" she wrote on June 21. "Thanks for all the back rubs, breakfast in bed, and for encouraging me to stick with those pregnancy workouts! You're the best! So blessed to have you as my husband and the father of our baby."
The new parents tied the knot at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark., in November 2014 after more than a year of dating.
