Making moves! Beyoncé is one step closer to making her return to the big screen. The Grammy winner is reportedly joining Bradley Cooper in the upcoming remake of A Star Is Born.

“Beyoncé is a go,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six on Friday, December 11, of the remake that will mark Cooper’s directorial debut. “He’s out to find the rest of the cast, but he may take another acting role. He’s furiously making everything he can.”

The story, which was originally filmed as a 1937 drama, has been remade twice as a musical — the 1954 version starred Judy Garland and James Mason, while a remake in 1976 starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

As Us Weekly exclusively reported earlier this week, the “Drunk In Love” singer, 34, has been taking acting classes.

“She wants to land leading roles in movies and has been taking classes in New York and L.A. for the past year,” an insider revealed in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Jay Z’s wife earned a Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Golden Globe nomination for 2006’s Dreamgirls.

Bey’s looking for an iconic, dramatic role,” the source said. “She wants to make a film that’s socially relevant to African American rights.”

But don’t expect the 20-time Grammy winner to give up music just yet.

“She’s writing and working with a bunch of producers right now,” the insider added.
