Blooming Bachelorette! Three years before JoJo Fletcher was dumped by Ben Higgins, the 25-year-old made a cameo on another reality dating show — and appeared much younger than she did during her eight-week journey on The Bachelor.
In 2013, her older brother Ben Patton set out to find his wife on NBC’s Ready for Love. Naturally, a fresh-faced Fletcher had a guest spot.
“I think that it’s good that you take your dating life outside of the normal circle that you usually try to find women in, because being in Dallas now, I see how some of them are in it for the wrong reasons,” the real estate developer told her brother on the Eva Longoria–produced series, which was pulled from the air after two low-rated episodes. “I want you to find someone who is genuinely there for you and not for your status.”
Turns out, skepticism runs in the family. When Patton brought two women home to meet his family, Fletcher was suspicious about their intentions. (Refresher: On Fletcher’s hometown date, the hot, scary Patton endlessly questioned Higgins.)
“Our family is totally different from any family you’re going to meet,” Higgins runner-up and the new star of The Bachelorette admitted on the NBC show. “We’re very loud and we’re very honest and we’re very kind of in your face half the time.”
Ready for Love isn’t Fletcher’s only reality TV connection, though! That same year, Fletcher posted a shot of herself with former Bachelor lead Jake Pavelka, who starred on season 14’s On the Wings of Love!
