She will show Us incredible things! The Grammys announced its final list of performers for the star-studded Monday, February 15, ceremony, and kicking off the festivities is none other than Taylor Swift. Her opening number will be followed by performances from the likes of Justin Bieber, Adele, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp.
Swift, 26 — who’s dominated headlines since Thursday, February 11, for being name-dropped as a “bitch” in Kanye West’s new song “Famous” — will start the evening with one of the catchy tunes from 1989. Lamar leads the pack of 2016 Grammy contenders, followed by the “Out of the Woods” singer with nominations for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Other new performers added to the list include four-time nominee Alabama Shakes, two-time nominee Miguel and two-time nominee Joey Alexander.
Previously announced performers include Adele, Travis Barker, James Bay, Justin Bieber, Jackson Browne, Luke Bryan, Gary Clark Jr., Andra Day, Diplo, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmit, and Joe Walsh of the Eagles, Ellie Goulding, The Hollywood Vampires (a rock supergroup with Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry), Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, Little Big Town, Demi Lovato, Pitbull, Bonnie Raitt, Rihanna, Skrillex, Chris Stapleton, Robin Thicke, Meghan Trainor, Carrie Underwood, The Weeknd and the Broadway cast of Hamilton.
Although Adele’s 25 wasn’t eligible for this year’s awards, she is still scheduled to perform at the event in Los Angeles. The 10-time Grammy winner, 27, is likely to perform her recently released second single, “When We Were Young.”
Rihanna — who just dropped her eighth studio album, Anti, last week — confirmed on Friday, February 5, that she will also perform. The Barbadian singer, 27, first sparked rumors of a Grammys performance when she starred in a CBS promo last month.
Lady Gaga, whose song “Til It Happens to You” is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media, will perform a seven-minute tribute to the late David Bowie. Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt will pay tribute to the late B.B. King.
Diplo and Skrillex will take the stage, too, for their first live television performance with Justin Bieber. The trio will perform their smash single “Where Are Ü Now,” which is nominated for Best Dance Recording.
Album of the Year nominees The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar were among the first group of performers announced in January.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by LL Cool J, will air live on CBS on Monday, February 15, at 8 p.m. EST.
