Khloe Kardashian Experienced Racism Because of Her Marriage to Lamar Odom

Calling out the haters. In Kocktails With Khloé‘s Wednesday, March 16, episode, Khloé Kardashian reveals that she and Lamar Odom have faced unpleasant reactions from people based on the fact that she is white and he is black.

In a preview clip from the FYI talk show’s new episode, guest Tia Mowry-Hardrict says that she has seen people act differently toward her white father than they do toward her black mother. The Sister, Sister alum, 37, then asks the host if she, too, believes that racism still exists.

“Very much so,” Kardashian, 31, responds. “I was in an interracial marriage. I would never think to have to say, ‘Oh, by the way — my husband’s black, so when he comes in, don’t let your jaw drop.'”

“When I moved to Dallas was the first time that was thrown in my face,” she continues. “Racism is real.” Odom, a former NBA player, was a member of the Dallas Mavericks from December 2011 to April 2012.
