Ruby Rose and her fiancée, Phoebe Dahl, have called off their engagement.
“After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways,” the 27-year-old designer told Us Weekly in an exclusive statement on Monday, December 14. “While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part ways. Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time.”
According to Dahl’s rep, the clothing designer has since moved out of the Orange Is the New Black actress’ Silver Lake neighborhood home in Los Angeles.
The now-exes announced their engagement in March 2014. During an interview with Out magazine, Dahl gushed over the Australian model, 29, whom she fell for while she was still in a previous relationship. "It sounds corny, but it was love at first sight,” Dahl said at the time. “Apparently, she felt the same thing."
And the feeling was mutual for Rose, who added: “I thought, 'Oh my God, I need to marry her. Who is she?’”
The duo got engaged after just three months of dating.
