Craig Strickland may be gone, but he will not be forgotten. The late country singer’s widow, Helen Strickland, announced the date of his memorial service via Instagram on Thursday, January 7, and noted that the event would be live-streamed for fans.

“‘It is not what we intend our lives to be, but what He intends for our lives,’ (C.S. Lewis),” Helen captioned the post. “Well Craig Michael, look at what amazing things God intended for your life. I am so proud of you and the impact you have had on this world.”

Craig’s memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, at 6 p.m. at the Cross Church Pinnacle Hills Campus in Rogers, Arkansas.

“To all reading this message, you are invited to join our family at Craig’s memorial service either at CrossChurch or via webcast (website listed above),” she continued. “I love you all, thank you for loving my husband. #craigstrickland.”

Just one day earlier, Helen shared another touching post, a photo of a letter the late singer wrote to her on their wedding day.

“Today I found this precious treasure Craig wrote for me to read on the day of our wedding,” she captioned the snapshot of the handwritten note. “The lord is good always .. I know this because in the most heart aching moments, when it seems too difficult to bare, God knows just how to make me smile. ‘I almost wrote Greg?’ – Lol, oh #craigstrickland, how I love you.”

The Backroad Anthem singer was found dead this past Monday, January 4, after he was reported missing seven days prior following a duck hunting trip gone awry.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Craig’s body was discovered in the Kaw Lake region north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, about a quarter mile from where his pal Chase Morland, with whom he went on the hunting excursion, was found dead on December 28.
