She’s fearless!
Taylor Swift is prepping for the 2016 Met Gala by going out in her boldest street style yet.
The “Style” singer, who is a cochair for Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology on May 2, went clubbing in NYC for Victoria’s Secret Angel Martha Hunt‘s birthday on Saturday, April 30, in a sheer lace jumpsuit by Haney. The skin-baring ensemble featured see-through sleeves and pants. She paired the look with rugged black Rag & Bone booties.
The next day, Swift, 26, rocked a completely different, yet equally wild style, inspired by the ’90s. The newly platinum-haired pop star sported a black leather moto jacket over an uneven-hemmed plaid dress that showed off her toned legs. She added more grungy vibes with a pair of patent combat boots, a Mark Cross handbag and a mix of rings.
But that wasn’t the only time she sported the tartan pattern that day. Earlier, the “New Romantics” singer wore a plaid button-down over a plain white tee embroidered with the phrase, “Good Vibes,” and light-wash Frame Denim jeans.
With each of her outfits, Swift made sure her makeup also made an impact, opting for a crimson red lipstick with the lace jumpsuit, a wine colored pucker with the plaid dress, and a posy pink shade for the daytime casual getup.
Swift’s new style is thanks in part to Vogue‘s Anna Wintour. “We very much wanted to give Taylor a new look. Make her into a rock ‘n’ roll chick,” Wintour shared of the edgy look and bright blonde hair, which debuted on Vogue‘s May issue, on the Today show on April 14. “We love the way she looks. We think she looks young and modern and different, and I can’t wait to see what she’s going to wear [to the Met Gala].”
